LifeCell Corporation (NASDAQ: LIFC)

LifeCell puts new life into the tissue graft market. The company makes skin graft materials processed from cadaver skin. Its products include AlloDerm, used in reconstructive plastic, dental, and burn surgeries; Cymetra, marketed to dermatologists and plastic surgeons; and Repliform, used in urologic and gynecological procedures. These products are sold in the US and abroad through such distributors as Boston Scientific (12% of LifeCell's sales). The company is developing other biomedical products, including vascular grafts and ThromboSol, a storage solution designed to extend the shelf life of blood used in transfusions.
